How to Take Better Care of Your Nails

Examine your fingernails closely. Are they healthy and strong? Do you see any ridges, dents, or regions of unique colour or shape? We all want healthy, perfectly manicured nails, whether we’re the sort that obsessively paints their nails as a form of self-care or the type who picks and bites at their cuticles.

Regular nail care results in strong, healthy nails that you can carry with pride. Here are some nail care suggestions you should incorporate into your routine:

  • Clean your nails using a polish remover

Nail care is also like skincare and should start with a thorough cleansing. Cleaning your nails on a regular basis will keep them free of germs and bacteria. In this stage, you can use nail polish remover to clear the dirt from your nails by removing the lacquer. Make sure to wash your hands with water afterwards.

  • Maintain the shape of your nails

Keep your nails tiny and in good shape. Outgrown nails, like hair, are susceptible to breaking and splitting. So, once a week, clip your nails and then file the uneven areas to get a beautiful, natural arc. Even if you’re attempting to grow them long, trimming a little off the top won’t harm you.

  • Never remove cuticles

When it comes to cuticles, we prefer a mild approach. Admittedly, it’s their responsibility to keep the nail safe. If you have some hanging skin or nails, clip them carefully and gently, so they don’t protrude and create further discomfort. Do not bite or pluck at the cuticles.

  • Avoid abrasive nail polishes by using mild nail polish

Wearing nail paint isn’t going to ruin your healthy nails, but you should probably take a vacation from it every now and again. Wipe your nails clean before starting to paint them, then apply a base coat. The basecoat prevents your nails from staining, while the topcoat reduces the chances of your nail paint peeling.

  • Moisture your nails properly

When nails grow dry, they are more prone to cracking and breaking, and it is one of the leading causes of poor cuticles, which can lead to additional issues. As a result, ensure your nails are well moisturized. To nourish them, gently massage them with either coconut or almond oil.

  • Eat well

You don’t need any dietary supplements to ensure strong nails if you consume a healthy and balanced diet. Supplemental biotin, a vitamin that helps strengthen weak or brittle fingernails, may help people with weak nails. Protein and omega-3 should be included in a balanced diet for strong, lustrous, and moisturized nails.

Maintaining healthy nails may be a lot easier with the appropriate method. And if you follow these guidelines, you may avoid irreversible damage to your nails while still keeping them looking beautiful.
