The winters are just around the corner. This time around, rather than buying lip balm, try making it at home. Here are few recipes. Just pick the one you like the most and go for it –
Pomegranate lip balm
All you need is half a cup of pomegranate seed and one tablespoon of coconut oil. In winters, as we all know the coconut oil takes a solid form. So melt it before using it. Crush the pomegranate, strain the juice and add it to melted coconut oil. Before you know it, the coconut will go back to the solid state, but it will be loaded with the fruit’s antioxidants: great smelling lip balm, east to make too.
Beetroot lip balm
This is our favourite lip balm recipe. It works well because of the colour of the beetroot. Just grate the beetroot, squeeze it using cheesecloth. Mix it with ghee and toss it in the refrigerator.
It will make your lips look red, and the ghee will deeply moisturize the soft lip skin.
Cinnamon lip balm
This one is probably the best smelling lip balm. Not just in this list but also in general. Take a few drops of cinnamon oil, mix well with a tablespoon of cocoa butter. Cinnamon is rich in antioxidants, and cocoa butter is the ultimate hydrator. The best part about this balm is the mesmerizing smell.
Strawberry lip balm
This is for strawberry lovers (which means all of us, like who doesn’t love strawberries). This, again, is an easy recipe. Crush the strawberry it smooth paste, add melted coconut oil. Toss it in the refrigerator. This balm will be loaded with Vitamin C, and the oil will deeply replenish the lips.
Please share with your friends, and prevent them from having their lips chapped.
