As time passes, many of us have grey or white hair, which we desire to retain by colouring. Hair dyeing in funky colours is also a new fashion trend. You may dye your hair in a variety of methods, such as in a salon or at home. Chemical hair colours, on the other hand, may include potentially dangerous and harmful ingredients such as ammonia or parabens. Furthermore, natural hair dye is an option to avoid these harmful substances. As an alternative to conventional hair colouring methods, try the following natural hair dyes:

  • Coffee Dye

Coffee is an organic hair tonic that stimulates cell development and darkens light grey hair to a natural colour without additives.

Combine half a cup of brewed espresso, half a cup of conditioner, and one tablespoon of coffee grounds in a mixing bowl. Put it as a mask and let it on for 60 minutes before rinsing it off.

  • Cinnamon Dye

Cinnamon hydrates the scalp and restores hair’s natural sheen while also giving it a natural reddish-brown hue.

Mix half cup cinnamon with half cup conditioner for mild reddish-brown hair. As a mask, apply this combination and let it on for 45-60 minutes. Use a gentle shampoo to clean it.

  • Beet Dye

Beetroots are well-known for their vibrant colour, but they also promote blood flow to the scalp, making hair healthy and bouncy. Move the mixture through a sieve into a jar container for a smoother texture or cut the beetroot into tiny pieces and combine one teaspoon honey and one teaspoon coconut oil in a bowl for a purplish-burgundy effect. Simply leave the combination on for 60 minutes before rinsing with a light shampoo and conditioner to get purple-tinged smooth hair at home.

  • Carrot juice dye

Carrots are high in vitamin A and have been shown to increase hair growth and thickness. Combine one tablespoon of coconut or olive oil with one tablespoon of carrot juice for a reddish-orange colour.

Spread the mixture around the chosen sections and cover them using a plastic sheet, then set it aside for at least 60 minutes. For a lovely reddish-orange hue and shinier hair, rinse it off with apple cider vinegar.

  • Henna

Henna is a herb that may be used to redden your hair. It is also available in powder form and is the most long-lasting and bright natural hair colour alternative. It’s possible that the colour may persist for four to six weeks. Combine half a cup of henna and 1/4 cup of water in a mixing bowl.

Stir in additional water if required until the mixture is thoroughly blended. Cover the mixture for 12-hours with plastic wrap. Then, without conditioning your hair, wash them. Put some drops of nourishing oil like coconut oil to your hairline and wear a headband, so that henna will not discolour your skin. Apply the paste in small sections to damp, combed hair until it is completely coated. Muffle your hair under the shower cap and wait for at least two hours before rinsing it out to allow the colour to bloom.

If you’re seeking a gentler way to colour or highlight your hair, DIY solutions may be preferable to bleach or commercial treatments. The effects won’t be as striking as with harsh treatments, but they might be healthier for your hair and general health.
