Shahnaz Husain receives the Leonardo Da Vinci Diamond
Award and World Medal of Freedom at the Annual World Forum in Washington DC.
Shahnaz
Husain received the prestigious Leonardo Da Vinci
Diamond award and the World Medal of Freedom for iconic
achievement in the field of Ayurveda at the World Forum,
2009 held in Washington DC by International Biographical
Centre and American Biographical Institute. The intent
of the World Forum is to provide a forum where
individuals can share talents and ideals. Each delegate
will be considered an ambassador representing his or her
own country. Shahnaz Husain is the Beauty Ambassador
representing India’s heritage – Ayurveda, science of
Life. Delegates are encouraged to participate in the
World Forum programme by chairing a symposium or perhaps
giving a lecture. There will be well-known speakers from
the area to address plenary sessions but it is the
discussion symposiums led by these ambassadors that
prove to be the most enlightening for all.
The
Leonardo Da Vinci Diamond, an award named after the
illustrious painter and universal genius Leonardo da
Vinci, is intended to acknowledge, show gratitude and
reward individuals who have been distinguished in their
respective fields and whose works contributed to the
advancement of society, be it local or international.
The
International Biographical Center has been compiling and
publishing the achievements of prominent people
worldwide for more than 40 years, and the Da Vinci
Diamond is its latest initiative.
In the
past, recipients of these prestigious awards include
Shabaviz Publications director Farideh Khalatbari of
Iran, Well known Ethiopian artist, the Honourable Maître
Artiste World Laureate Afewerk Tekle to name a few.
Dr.
Joseph Isaac, former president of Indian Dental
Association, President of Gambia - Yahya Jammeh, Former
Prime Minister of Pakistan - Benazir Bhutto and Chief
Minister of Sikkim - Dr Pawan Chamling have been
awarded the World Medal of Freedom and other awards in
the past by the American Biographical Institute for
outstanding achievement in respective fields. World
Medal of freedom is given to those remarkable
individuals whose deeds inspire others and are
acknowledged globally.
